Animal Services in Pickering On January 1, 2006 the City of Pickering became the sole provider for Animal Services in Pickerng. This new service is responsible for reuniting lost pets back with their families, yearly cat and dog licensing, enforcement of all of our current animal related bylaws and educating the public on the importance of being a responsible pet owner.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority The acting authority (in conjunction with the Altona Forest Stewardship Committee) for the Altona Forest. They are a partnership organization committed to protecting, restoring and celebrating the natural environment in the Toronto region through the development and application of watershed plans, innovative environmental science and education programs.

Rouge Duffins Greenspace Coalition Dedicated to preserving our greenspace by linking the Oak Ridges Moraine to Lake Ontario, and the Rouge River to Duffins Creek.

Federation of Ontario Naturalists The Federation of Ontario Naturalists (FON) protects Ontario's nature through research, education, and conservation action. FON champions woodlands, wetlands and wildlife, and preserves essential habitat through its own system of nature reserves. FON is a charitable organization representing 25,000 members and supporters and 125 member groups across Ontario.

Friends of Cullen Gardens The Friends of Cullen Gardens is a group of concerned citizens whose goal and vision is to keep all of the 85.5 acre of the former Cullen Gardens' property as a park. Bought by the Town of Whitby, the land is still not safe, as preliminary reports indicate. In the master plan, which will be presented to the town, the Town Planners will lay out their suggetions what to do with the land and selling some land seems still an option.

The Pickering Horticultural Society Why not meet people who have a keen interest in gardening, learn the art of gardening through speakers and workshops, gain knowledge from others and to share what we have learned and encourage people to become interested in gardening and related activities?
